Transmission Service in Detroit
Transmission problems get scary fast. Catch them early with a fluid service and inspection. We'll tell you straight if it's a fix or a rebuild.
Fluid services
Most automatics and CVTs need fluid service every 50,000 to 100,000 miles depending on the vehicle. We do drain-and-fills and full flushes where appropriate. Some vehicles must only drain-and-fill, never flush. We know the difference.
Old fluid breaks down, loses lubrication, and damages clutches. If your fluid is dark or burnt-smelling, service it soon.
Leaks, shifts, and clutch work
Leaks usually come from the pan gasket, an axle seal, or cooler lines. All fixable. Shift problems can be anything from a dirty solenoid to a TCM issue. We diagnose before rebuilding.
Manual transmission clutch replacement is a specialty. We do it right, including checking the flywheel, pilot bearing, and rear main seal while we're in there.

Before you call.
Should I flush or drain-and-fill?+
Depends on the vehicle and fluid condition. Some transmissions must not be flushed. We'll make the right call.
Do you rebuild transmissions?+
For most common vehicles we handle rebuilds through trusted rebuilders. For complex units we partner with specialists. We manage the whole job.
How much does a clutch replacement cost?+
Depends on the vehicle. We quote after inspection. Most manual clutch jobs are a full day of labor.
